It’s true! It can be done!

Make a purse/clutch out of a book? Why yes indeed!

Please do not think it blasphemous to deface a book in this manner. The reality is, is there are some books that will simply die a slow, sad death in a landfill. So why not cleverly repurpose! And what better way than to make a book a fashionable accessory (or a storage container. If the book is big enough you can hide remotes or even the modem in one!)? Suggest to your patrons who borrow the kits as a fun activity to do while discussing the book or pre-plan and request the members of your library book club to bring the supplies needed for a special book club gathering!

The tutorials (found here, here and here) most certainly help with the general process of how to create the clutch/purse. It appears any type of super glue can be used in lieu of sewing.

Hoping some of your bookclubs feel crafty enough to attempt this project!
