Vote for Colorado’s New Driver License Design

Colorado driver licenses are changing again. Starting this fall, licenses will be issued with a new design – which you can help choose!

The Colorado Department of Revenue wants our state’s licenses “to be the most beautiful in the world,” featuring iconic Colorado scenery. Artists submitted over 400 entries in a design contest held this summer, and of these, six finalists were chosen – three possible designs for the front of the licenses, and three for the back. Now through February 5, you can vote on your favorite design for the front and back of the cards. Options for the front side include Mount Sneffels, the Maroon Bells, or Black Canyon of the Gunnison; back side options are a buffalo herd, Shrine Ridge Trail with wildflowers, or Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.

To submit your vote, visit https://dmv.colorado.gov/iconic-colorado on the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles website. Here you can see samples of each design and learn about the artists.
