Spotlight on Sharing: May the Fourth Be With You (at the Library)

Happy May the Fourth! Also known as Star Wars Day, this unofficial holiday for movie fans has really taken off in the last few years, and many public libraries around Colorado are getting into the spirit with some fun activities for everyone, from princesses to scruffy looking nerf herders.

Star Wars Kessel 5K Fun Run/Walk

  • Poudre River Public Library District

  • 5:00 – 9:00 pm
  • It’s not quite 12 parsecs, but this non-competitive run will follow the Spring Creek Trail and end with a May the Fourth Be With You Party!

DIY Lightsabers

  • This week is an EXTRA SPECIAL After School Club, in honor of “May The Fourth Be With You” and Star Wars! This event is open to ALL AGES. We will be showing the newest Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, in the Hopefull/Discovery Meeting Rooms at the South Branch Library. The movie showing will start promptly at 4:30 pm and go until approximately 6:45 pm. We will have popcorn for a snack, and everyone is welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks if they like. Chairs will be set up, but comfy pillows are welcome as well!
