Colorado State Library at CALCON 2019

CALCON, the annual conference of the Colorado Association of Libraries, is September 19-21, 2019 in Loveland. The event features keynote speakers, sessions, lightning talks, vendor exhibits, and after-hours activities. This year’s theme is “Ignite the Magic”. Visit CALCON19 to view full event details.

As in previous years, Colorado State Library staff members will present sessions throughout the conference, ranging in topics from job hunting to unconscious bias. See the schedule below for details.

This year CSL is also supporting CALCON’s new Trustee Track, which includes program sessions targeted at public library boards (for both district and non-district libraries), as well as general conference keynotes, awards, lunches, and networking opportunities. A highlight of daily events in the Trustee Track can be found here: 2019 CALCON Trustee Track

Finally, stop by the Colorado State Library booth in the exhibit hall to “check out” one of our Early Literacy Librarians for a one-on-one conversation on early literacy. Kate Brunner (southern region),  Melody Garcia (metro Denver & northeastern region) and Gail Yerbic (western region), bring years of experience in Colorado public libraries, family and community engagement, and development of early literacy offerings in a library setting and they look forward to connecting at CALCON!
