This week, I am unashamedly re-posting (OK…maybe stealing) my lovely co-worker’s latest blog post for her fantastic resource sharing blog–Spotlight on Sharing. In her research of unique ways in which Colorado libraries are sharing all the various types of resources they provide to their communities, she came upon more than one Colorado library that has combined reading with walking and talking. Please check it out! Mixing things up is always a plus, is it not?
But of course, I must still highlight a book in our collection that would be SO PERFECT for such a book club.
Perhaps your library even has the movie version in its collection and you can end the walkin’ and talkin’ with sittin’ and watchin’ and popcorn!
Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God. -George Washington Carver
