For the Young at Heart

There is the saying “age is just a number” that many of the young at heart subscribe to. People who embrace a sense of fun as they grow older tend to have healthier lives. Attitude is everything! However, sometimes, a little push from a special someone is needed to embrace the child within and remember that although the body might not cooperate as well as it used to, the mind and heart’s capabilities of youth are vast.

What better time to celebrate youth, than in the carefree, warm days of summer! Roadtrips, running through the sprinklers, eating Popsicles or watermelon, swimming, night swinging (one of my FAVORITE things to do still!), hiking, or leisurely reading a book in the park. Like one of these titles about older individuals who embrace their inner child whimsy!

The child inside of you knows how to take things as they come, how to deal most effectively and happily with everything and everyone it encounters on this planet. If you can recapture that childlike essence of your being, you can stay ‘forever young at heart.’ -Wayne Dyer
