The Learning Edge

October 2020 #1

Aah October, just might be one of my favorite months. The landscape changes daily to the brilliance of hues – gold, rust, red, and yellow. It is in this daily change I find peace and renewal.

October is honored to hold a number of national awareness events, including Digital Citizenship Week/Month, Bullying Prevention Month, Dyslexia Awareness Month, and Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Check out these sites to learn how you can honor these events with your students.

It’s also National Book Month! Reading provides mental stimulation, reduces stress, provides you with knowledge, expands your vocabulary, and of course, much more.  It’s time to relax your mind & spirit – curl up with a good book, a cup of tea, and take yourself away on an adventure. Don’t forget to invite your students to do the same!

Keep yourself moving too – Here is my morning song to get myself going.  Watch it and dance along! “Can’t Stop The Feeling!’ (GoNoodle)
