ISTE/SLJ 2020 Tech Trends Webcasts

MTSS Summit

CDE’s Office of Learning Supports is presenting the annual summit on the multi-tiered system of supports (CO-MTSS) – a free two-day conference Aug. 3-4 at The Antlers, a Wyndham hotel in Colorado Springs. Keynote speakers will include Dr. Rich Milner from Vanderbilt and Dr. Donna Ford from Ohio State University. From Zoom to Wakelet, there are a number of options to check into for you and your students. Many of these companies are currently offering premium versions of their software at no cost to teachers and students due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Rock CS, Rocky Mountain Computer Science Conference for P-12 Educators, is now open for registration and accepting presenter applications! This two-day event, designed by Adams 12 Five Star Schools & St. Vrain Valley School District,  supports P-12 classroom teachers with teaching computer science (CS) and computational thinking. Trivia – Census March 1790

The 1790 U.S. Census Act, was signed on March 1, 1790. The census reflected the values of the United States in 1790 which asked just six questions: the name of the (white, male) householder, and then the names of all the other people in the household, divided into these categories: Free white males who were at least 16 years old; free white males who were under 16 years old; free white females; all other free persons; and slaves.  Learn More at census.gov & Smithsonian
