Youth Services Meeting: Meet with Teens

May 6 @ 3:00-4:00pm

Join us on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 3:00-4:00 pm) for Meet with Teens.

This is a great meeting for all library staff that work with teens—and for the teens in your community! Please share the word about this meeting with the teens in your community. We’ll have a conversation around what teens need and want during this time and in the near future, and how libraries can help meet those needs. We’ll also see if teens have any ideas on how they themselves can help meet community needs, and how libraries may be able to help them do so.

Here’s a sample message to send to teens in your community to invite them to the meeting:

How do you see your involvement in the restart of our communities, and in the current moment of physical distancing? For your public library to be effective during this time and for the restart, we need to determine your needs and interests, as well as those of your family and peer groups. YOU are best positioned to understand the issues that public libraries could help meet. Librarians around the state need your insights and want to invite you to attend a statewide meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, May 6, 3:00-4:00. Connect with teens and librarians from across the state in a conversation to learn your insights and ideas. We need to hear from you!
